Fairfield Senator Becky Schmitz says, by law, they are required to meet every five years and make sure every school is getting its fair share. Schmitz says not all of the issues at the meeting will be about financing. She says one important issue that has been raised recently has been the cost of transportation of students and property tax percentage. Schmitz says she feels the biggest need is equitability and making sure the system is stable in a tough economy.
