The Washington County Conservation Board is planning a Halloween Hike early next month. Naturalist Pam Holz says this year’s theme is Prairie Pioneers. She says participants will seek challenges on the prairie, just like early pioneers. She says that includes making sparks with flint and steel, hunting rabbits and avoiding “buffalo.” The Halloween Hike is scheduled for October tenth at Marr Park. Contact the conservation board for more information.
