The Washington Demon volleyball team struggled from the start of last night’s match losing in three on the road in Keokuk. Head Coach Jeff Spenner says they got down 12-0 and he called a timeout and he had to call another at 16-1. The Demons would lose in three and Spenner says their biggest problem was inconsistency. He says they look to refocus with these next few practices as they get ready to head to Ottumwa for a tournament. For the Demons last night:
Jonte Thornton 9 kills 16 digs
Lucy Libe 8-8 serving 14 digs
Greta Smeins 12-13 serving
Molly Donnolly 14 digs
The Demons are now 1-2 in the conference.
