The Maharishi University of Management was recently awarded one-million dollars by the National Institutes of Health. The Universitys Marilyn Ungaro says the school will get $500,000 each year for two years to fund transcendental meditation treatment for heart disease. Ungaro says they will study the effects of rehabilitation treatments with and without meditation. She says the university was selected out of 21,000 applicants for this grant.
