The National Weather Service says there is the potential for frost this week, which would spell bad news for many Midwestern corn growers. The latest USDA crop report indicates that less than 30 percent of corn in Iowa is at a stage where it would be safe from frost; while less than 20 percent of corn in the southeast part of the state was rated as being safe from frost.
