It wasn’t cloudy last night in Williamsburg but it poured on the Demons, as the Raiders won big over Washington. Williamsburg started the game off with the ball and the first play of the game saw Raider full back Tyler Greiner go 57-yards for a touchdown to go up 7-0. The Demons were forced to punt on their first drive and forced Williamsburg to do the same on the Raiders second drive. The Demons started their second drive at the Washington 4-yard line, but the Demons put some positive plays together to get to the 41 but penalties would move them back and force the Demons to punt deep in their own territory. The Raiders received the punt at the Demon 40 and took it to the end zone to go up 14-0. Shortly after that an errant pitch by the Demons saw the Raiders scoop up the loose ball and run 10 yards into the endzone 21-0. Williamsburg got another big run from Tyler Greiner and then one from Cord Slaymaker, at the half Williamsburg led 63-0. In the second half both teams played their subs and with the continuous clock it went very fast as the two teams would drive into the opponents side of the field and be forced to punt. The Demons with the loss fall to 2-2 and 1-1 in the District. Williamsburg is 3-1 and 2-0 in the district. The Demons go to Keokuk next week.
