Rosien: Zoning may have Prevented Construction in Flood Plane

A Washington County Supervisor says recent flooding at a rural subdivision is an example of how the county could benefit from zoning. Jim Rosien says residents might not have been allowed to build in the flood prone area. Timberline Estates was built before the county had a subdivision ordinance, and there is still nothing on the books that prevents construction in a flood plane.
