Ainsworth is among seven Iowa communities getting grant money for home efficiency projects. Senator Tom Harkin says theyll be getting more than 55-thousand dollars to winterize homes. Harkin says older rural homes often see the highest utility bills. Harkin says in addition to saving money, the grant money will also help save energy. Nearly 400-thousand dollars was released in efficiency grants.
