The Demons look like they could make a second half surge and come from behind against the Clear Creek Amana Clippers but that was answered in the ensuing kickoff. The Clippers hosting the Demons last night scored first on a 31 yard touchdown pass after a short punt then got a 27 yard field goal to go up 10-0. The Demons mid way through the second quarter put together a drive to get down to the Clipper three but Clear Creek Amana stopped them on fourth down. The Clippers taking over at their three saw Blaze Smith hit Ted Hergert in stride at the 30 and he took it all the way for a 97 yard touchdown and it was 17-0. The Clippers added another early in the third quarter making it 24-0. Washington did put together a good drive that was capped off with a Jordan Vittetoe three yard touchdown run making it 24-7, but the Clippers ran a revers on the kick off and returned it 80-yards for a touchdown and that would be the final 31-7. Clear Creek Amana is now 5-2 and 4-1 in the district while Washington falls to 4-3 and 3-2 in the district. The Demons will next host Fairfield.
