Main Street Washington is celebrating the completion of construction in the downtown area next weekend. Executive Director Amy Vetter says they’re having a ceremonial SWEEP, or Supporting Washington’s Economic Enhancement Efforts. She says residents are invited to bring their brooms out and join the festivities. Vetter says there will be prize awarded to the best decorated broom. She also says a group known as the “Blowhards” will bring leaf blowers out to help clean the street. The SWEEP is next Saturday morning at 9:00 in the 100 block of West Washington.
