The Washington Demon volleyball team begins Regional Tournament play this evening in Mount Pleasant. The Demons played the Panthers in Washington last Monday and lost in four. Earlier this season they Demons beat the Panthers in Mount Pleasant in five. The Demons and the Panthers also had a close match at the Ottumwa tournament. Demon Head Coach Jeff Spenner says since they closed out the regular season at Fort Madison last Tuesday they have been working on their defensive positioning and controlling the ball. The Demons taking on the Panthers at Mount Pleasant tonight with the first serve set for seven.

The winner of the Washington-Mount Pleasant match will play the winner of Clear Creek-Aaman and Williamsburg, that match will be played in Washington on Thursday. On the other side of the bracket Fort Madison will travel to Centerville and the winner of that plays the winner of Keokuk and Fairfield.

The Class 1A and 2A volleyball postseasons will resume tomorrow night.
