The Iowa Department of Transportation says there are more farm vehicle related traffic accidents in October, than any other time of year. Iowa State University Ag Engineering Specialist Greg Brenneman says late afternoon and early evening can be particularly hazardous. Brenneman says rear end collisions are one of the most common type of traffic accidents that happen between passenger cars and farm implements. He says it’s important to be cautious and look out for the orange triangles which indicate a slow moving vehicle.
