The high school football regular season is almost done, it’ll soon be post season. There are two games left in the regular season. As is the case in past years, the post season will move fast as the state always intends to have all of the state championship games finished the Saturday before Thanksgiving. After teams play their last regular season game on Friday October 23rd, the top four teams from each district will advance to the substate round which will be played the following Wednesday on October 28th. After that, technically that is when the playoffs begin with the first round of the playoffs coming the following Monday, November 2nd, the quarterfinal round would be played that Friday November 6th. The semifinal games in the UNI-Dome will come November 12th and run through the 16th with the championship games being played the end of that week.
