Southeast Iowa is ahead of most other parts of the state in this year’s corn harvest. 16 percent has been harvested so far, while other parts of Iowa are reporting single digit numbers. Progress is still more than 15 percent behind the five year average in Southeast Iowa. Soybean harvesting is even farther behind at 19 percent. The average is 85 percent.
