USDA officials are working to confirm the first known case of the H1N1 virus in domestic hogs. Dr. Jim McKean is the Associate Director of the Iowa Pork Industry Center. He says there is still no risk of getting the virus from eating pork. McKean says the real threat comes from humans passing the virus to pigs. He says most animals live in a very controlled environment and have never seen this strain. He says producers are being encouraged to review their biosecurity practices.
