Congressman Dave Loebsack has announced more than $26-million in flood prevention efforts for Upper Mississippi River areas. The Iowa democrat says last year’s floods proved how much work needed to be done with flood prevention in the area. Loebsack says these grants will also be put towards economic development, securing shipping business on the Mississippi and other waterways.
