Panthers eliminate Demons

In volleyball the 3A postseason kicked off, the Washington Demons made the trip over to Mount Pleasant to face a team they have played close this season. It was tight in the opening game with Mount Pleasant winning 25-22, but the Panthers took the next two 25-18 to advance. Demon Head Coach Jeff Spenner says that’s kind of been their experience in matches this year 80821. The Panthers move on and play Williamsburg who beat Clear Creek Amana in three 25-14, 25-14, 25-18. On the other side of the bracket, Centerville beat Fort Madison in three and Fairfield beat Keokuk in four.

Tonight 2A volleyball postseason resumes, with Sigourney taking on Davis County in Eldon. In 1A, IMS goes to Lone Tree to play English Valleys. Winfield-Mount Union takes on New London in New London.
