None of the three people accused of robbing a bank in Washington had their preliminary hearings yesterday (10/15) as scheduled. 19 year old Raylon Jones had to have his delayed because of a potential conflict of interest. His attorney works for a firm that is connected to another firm which is representing one of the prosecution’s witnesses. 20 year old Verkisha Burns waived her preliminary hearing. 18 year old Katelyn Curtis waived hers with the understanding she could request another one within 20 day of her arrest. Her attorney instead requested to hold a bond reduction hearing. The judge denied the reduction, but did allow for the use of assurity, or a bail bond company.
