The union representing Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies is asking for a 6.5 percent increase in county contributions to health and medical insurance, and a 5.5 percent increase in scheduled pay raises. Representatives of the Teamsters Local 238 yesterday (10/29) presented the proposal to supervisors. The county is expected to make a counter offer at a November 11 meeting. After that the two entities could enter into closed negotiations.
