Washington is waiting on state approval before they can begin construction on a new wastewater plant. City Administrator Dave Plymann says they’re currently in negotiations to purchase land to build the facility on. He says they’re applying for a grant that would fund about 600-thousand dollars of the construction phase. The overall project could cost up to 18 million dollars.
