Washington County Hospital and Clinics is adding itself to a growing list of Iowa healthcare facilities restricting certain visitors this flu season. WCHC spokeswoman Kathleen Brinning says the restrictions apply to both the Family Birthing Center, and Inpatient areas. She says visitors to the OB area are being limited to fathers and grandparents only. She says this area houses those who are most vulnerable to the H1N1 virus. Brinning says the restrictions are a direct result of the number of children and young adults being seen with flu like symptoms.
