In the UNI-Dome yesterday, there was one tight championship football game, and two runaways for the most part. It started with 8-man where Armstrong-Ringstead beat Lenox 49-30. In Class A, this was the close one, it was tight throughout and went to overtime, as Southern Cal, Lake City repeats as champions beating Newman Catholic, Mason City 28-27. In fact last season Southern Cal beat North Tama in overtime by one point. Finally in the 4A game Iowa City High beat up on Marshalltown 42-14.
