Washington County Supervisors are slated to approve a multi jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan at this week’s meeting. County Engineer David Patterson says the Eastern Iowa Council of Governments is municipalities to implement such a plan in the wake of last year’s flooding. Patterson says it would encompass the rural areas and each city within Washington County. They are receiving about 30 thousand dollars from FEMA to implement the plan. Supervisors meet Tuesday morning at 9:30 in the Washington County Courthouse. They will also continue zoning discussions during a work session.
