Iowa’s Congressional Delegation is split along party lines on the health care debate. Democratic Congressman Dave Loebsack was supportive of House Resolution 32000. His Democratic colleagues in the House: Bruce Braley and Leonard Boswell have also given their support. Republicans Steve King and Tom Latham opposed the measure sighting cost and the creation of an over bureaucratic healthcare system. In the Senate, Democrat Tom Harkin has said he would likely the support the bill, while Republican Chuck Grassley says he’ll continue to oppose any sort of public option.
