Swine producers, truckers, and production workers have the opportunity to receive their Transport Quality Assurance later this month. ISU Extension Regional Director Gene Mohling says many packing companies like Hormel require producers to have TQA certification before allowing them to sell their livestock. Mohling says the certification program will cover swine handling, loading procedures, bio-security laws, among other safety issues. The program costs $25 and for more information, call 319-462-2791.
