The Vice Commander of the National American Legion is making a stop in Washington this week during a tour of the eastern half of Iowa. Eugene Shumacher will be joined by Iowa Commander Marlin Tillman in an effort to “revitalize and recognize the important role that American Legion Posts play.” They’re hoping to talk to as many veterans and community leaders as possible. Tillman and Shumacher will be at Washington’s National Guard Readiness Center from 9-11 Wednesday (11/18) morning.
