An ophthalmologist from Ottumwa is planning a run against Iowa Second District Congressman Dave Loebsack. Dr. Marianette Miller-Meeks plans to formally announce her candidacy during stops next week in Muscatine, Marion, Burlington and her hometown. Joining her on the tour is Barbara Grassley, the wife of Republican Senator Chuck Grassley. Miller-Meeks will face off against Solon native and businessman Christopher Reed in the GOP Primary.
