Radiers begin play at state volleyball tournament

The state volleyball tournament kicks off today in Cedar Rapids. Class 3A and 4A will play matches today with 1A and 2A beginning tomorrow. Williamsburg, the team that came out of Washington’s region, will have a tough opening round match as they take on number two ranked Algona. Algona is 37-1 on the season while Williasmburg is 26-11. The winner of that match will play the winner of Dubuque Wahlert and Waverly-Shell Rock. The tournament will continue until Saturday when the championship matches will be played.
