Riverside will soon have a new mayor. Incumbent Bill Poch lost to challenger Brian McDole by ten votes during last night’s election. In fact, voters decided not to return any incumbents up for reelection. On the council incumbents Mariellen Bower and Randy Sexton lost their seats. Voters instead chose Kevin Kiene and Ralph Schnoebelen.Voters in Brighton also elected a new mayor last night. Rob Farley topped his closest opponet by 19 votes. The current mayor chose not to seek reelection this year.
