Snow is in the forecast for southeast Iowa. The National Weather Service says a storm system will bring another round of rain to the area today. They say as cold air wraps into the system that rain will mix with and eventually change to snow during the overnight. NWS says it appears no more than an inch of snow will accumulate because it will be mixed with rain and sleet. However, they say it is possible that if precipitation changes over to all snow during the early evening hours, eastern Iowa could see several inches of accumulation. Snowfall is expected to taper off early tomorrow morning.
