Veterans Day may be over but local veteran’s organizations still want people to appreciate service men and women. Washington County Veterans Affairs Commissioner Terry Phillips says America has learned from the Vietnam War and the public today has greater respect for those who served. Phillips says it’s important to remember how much veterans sacrifice so that most of the nation doesn’t have to. He says any vets who have questions about benefits should contact Sue Rich at 653-7768.
