The WACO Warriors finished a season in which they reached the quarterfinals for just the fourth time since the playoffs were expanded to eight teams. The Warriors ended up 8-4 and saw their season end at the UNI-Dome Friday night against number one ranked North Tama. North Tama won 39-0, WACO Head Coach Chad Edeker says while they had some setbacks in the game he feels they played a pretty good game North Tama was just a very strong team. Looking at their season Edeker felt their best game was last Monday when they hosted BGM. He says considering how well their opponent was playing heading into the game, BGM was probably their biggest win. Edeker says going as far as they did is an accomplishment and it came from hard work from the kids. The Warriors went undefeated in their district to win the district championship.
