The recent warm weather is just what the doctor ordered, or in the case, the farmer. Regional ISU Extension Director Gene Mohling says the unseasonably high temperatures allowed producers to make some real progress harvesting. Mohling says there’s still the potential for a record crop, but grain quality is becoming a concern. He says many farmers are encountering diseases such as mold. Mohling encourages producers maintain contact with their insurance providers.
