The holiday shopping season is officially underway. In Washington many retailers had extended hours Friday during Main Street’s SNOW events. One of them was Country Market owner Nancy Glandon. She says things went pretty well overall. Glandon says despite the recession, Black Friday traffic was close to what it was last year. Another retailer who offered day after Thanksgiving deals was Cathy Lloyd. She runs Girlfriends, one of the shops in The Village. Her assessment was similar to Glandon’s.
