Weekend temperatures were close to setting records around the area. Sunday’s high in Washington was 75…the record is 77. State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says an east west jet stream flow is preventing the cooler air up north from descending into the Midwest. Hillaker says normal high temperatures for this time of year are in the low to mid 50’s. Highs this week are expected in the low 60’s, With slight chances for some light rainfall.
