press play to hear from Councilman Mike Roth

Washington could be getting some more television exposure. Councilors have approved a plan to have Jeremy Patterson House Moving relocate the old Mills Seed Building to the city’s downtown. The proposal calls for using tax increment financing to assist Patterson with the move. This was a point of contention for third ward Councilman Mike Roth. Roth says he couldn’t support the plan without knowing how much the city would need to commit. The city and Jeremy Patterson will negotiate how much TIF money will be used for the project. Patterson’s company is featured on the TLC program “Heavy Haulers.” He attended last night’s meeting with a camera man at his side.
