It was Senior Night in Washington as the Demon boys and girls hosted Mid-Prairie. Because the girls the last two season have had bad luck with snow and senior nights, they decided to take care of it right out of the gates so they didn’t risk a repeat. In the first game, the ninth ranked Demon girls jumped out to a quick lead early and led 12-4 after one, they went in at halftime up 27-6 and continue in the second half winning 69-15. These two teams were very different with Washington having seven seniors and Mid-Prairie only one senior who starts with four freshman. Individually for Washington, Caitlin Fishback 21 points, Cassey Sobaski had 17 points, Sydney Greiner had 12 points and Lucy Libe finished with 10. For Mid-Prairie senior Erin Cayton scored all fifteen points before fouling out in the fourth. The Demons are now 2-0 and will host Eddyville-Blakesburg Saturday.
