The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is getting a new investigator. Sheriff Jerry Dunbar says he selected Chad Ellis because he showed an interest in the position. Dunbar says the job entails following up after regular calls as needed. Dunbar says the department currently has two vacancies: the position that Ellis was formerly serving in, and one left open after a retirement. He says he’s offered the positions to two people, and hopes to have the supervisors approve them next week.
