The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team went on the road to Solon and snapped the number one Spartans’ 35 game winning streak. Golden Hawk Head Coach Don Showalter says he felt his kid had the right attitude going in that they were going to win the ball game and wouldn’t be denied. Tanner Miller had 28 points and 12 rebounds in the game. Showalter says they also got some strong play from Kaleb Duwa, Michael Aldeman, Quinn Hollan, Aaron Smit, Dylan Hochstedler and Jordan Yotty all came through with big baskets. Showalter says they shot well as a team going 10-15 from within the three point line. With the win the Golden Hawks are now 4-2

On the girls side the Mid-Prairie girls were with one point of the ninth ranked Spartans at halftime with it 16-15, but the Spartans out scored Mid-Prairie 32-16 in the second half to win 48-30.
