The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams head to Solon tonight to face the Spartans. On the boys’ side Golden Hawk Head Coach Don Showalter says the Spartans and the Golden Hawks know each other well from playing together in the Eastern Iowa Hawkeye Conference where both schools won their share of conference titles. The Golden Hawks started the season with two losses to 3A Williamsburg and Washington but since have won their last three. The Spartans are unbeaten. On the girls side Mid-Prairie is 1-5 heading in while Solon girls are 6-1.
