A head on car accident near Wellman yesterday morning sent one person to the hospital. An accident report from the Washington County Sheriff’s office indicates a Chevy Silverado driven by Randy Dwayne Williams of Harper was east bound in the 1600 block of 120th street when it smashed into Mercedes Benz driven by Robin Lyn Schulty of Wellman. The report indicates Williams was traveling on the wrong side of the roadway which caused the accident. He was issued a ticket for failing to yield upon meeting a vehicle. Schulty was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment. A hospital spokesperson says they are unable to release any further details
