Washington County Public Health is reminding residents that children ages six months through nine years are recommended to receive two H1N1 vaccine doses. Program Director Chrystal Woller says the first dose basically primes the child’s immune system to receive the second one. Woller says the H1N1 vaccine remains targeted to those at highest risk of becoming ill and developing complications from the virus. Contact the health department for more information.
