As the nation prepares to celebrate the holidays, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood has a simple message for American motorists: Have fun, but don’t get behind the wheel if you’ve been drinking. Washington Police Chief Greg Goodman says their staff and The State Patrol will be looking out as usual for impaired drivers, and making sure people are doing what they should be. From coast to coast, highway safety agencies will be conducting a period of increased law enforcement presence on the roadways to prevent accidents associated with drunk driving.
