Area residents are invited to have their leftover Christmas Trees “swim with the fishes.” The Johnson County Heritage Trust Volunteers will collect the trees to be used as a fish habitat in the Belgum Grove Ponds. The group says the fish enjoy using natural wood for laying eggs and as a secure hiding place. They say the trees need to be cleared of any decorations and brought to the Heritage Grove Trust property near Hills. Trees should be dropped off at the designated area no later than January eighth.
