Eastern Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack says lawmakers can play a part in getting people back to work at manufacturers such as the Modine plant in Washington. Loebsack toured the Washington facility as part of a push to highlight the importance of manufacturing to the economy. The Mt. Vernon Democrat says that’s why he’s supporting the president’s “jobs bill” which would invest money in infrastructure improvements. He says more infrastructure projects would mean increased demand for companies like Caterpillar and an increased demand for Modine’s products as well.
