A Fairfield state lawmaker says clean energy jobs are one way Iowa will recover from the economic recession. Senator Becky Schmitz says Iowa is constructing new efficient buildings, growing and processing energy producing crops and developing energy efficient cars and appliances. Schmitz says Iowans had little to do with the economic meltdown, but feels they can help by building a new “clean energy economy.”
