Southeast Iowa State Senator Becky Schmitz is visiting Washington this weekend. Schmitz says she’s visiting town Saturday to “prepare for the upcoming legislative session.” She’ll be at the public library at 1:30 so residents can “share their ideas and concerns.” Schmitz says the national economic recession means lawmakers will have to make some tough decisions in 2010. The legislative session begins January 11.
