Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies are also on high alert this morning. Chief Deputy Darren Dennler says they have a sort of dual role during these types of severe weather situations. He says they report on road conditions to other government entities, and continue in their law enforcement responsibilities. Dennler says travel is not recommended. He says if you must travel it’s important to make sure you have plenty of fuel, your vehicle is in good working condition and to bring along an emergency kit.
