Washington County is moving closer to implementing a hazard mitigation plan. Engineer David Patterson says Supervisors this week approved entering into a contract with the Eastern Iowa Council of Governments. Washington County is receiving roughly 30 thousand dollars in federal money to develop the plan alongside incorporated communities in its borders.
