The Iowa Crop Advantage Series is coming up, and climate change will be a featured topic at the conference. Meteorologist and Executive Director of the Iowa Academy of Science Craig Johnson will be giving his presentation titled “Global Warming or Global Cooling.” ISU Extension field Agronomist Jim Fawcett says corn and soybean aphid management will also be discussed, as well as a variety of other topics. Certified crop advisors can earn up to five credits at the conference, and private pesticide applicators can become re-certified. The conference is at the Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education in Cedar Rapids Thursday, January 21 at 9:30am. You can register at your local ISU Extension Office.
